On to other things, Heather had a meeting today at Binghamton with her advisor. She is so excited to start school and they seem very excited to have her. Dr. Perry already wants to set up some times to meet with her before school! The first concert of the year is going to be a pairing of the orchestra and a ballet company from NYC!! How exciting! Heather probably won't be conducting on the actual concert, but will be leading a lot of the rehearsals. :)

Derek is still looking for some jobs. He is heading out this weekend to 2 different sound gigs and is looking forward to those!

Spring  from The Four Seasons - Vivaldi

This piece has some great violin features, but also has the chamber orchestra there to add lots of color. Part of why I love orchestral music so much is because of the different colors you get from the instruments when they are put together. It is amazing to me the variety of sounds that can come out of them! This video is of Herbert von Karajan and the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra. I love this one because von Karajan is playing right along with them! So, here is Spring. Enjoy!
